Winding Down

The van now heads west. We had one more stop to visit friends who used to attend church with us; these days they can be found in Colorado. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed graciously by the C family. We shared a delicious dinner followed by a fun evening hike that turned into quite an adventure once the sun set completely. Flashlights were necessary to get back to the car safely.

Their guest accommodations for all of us were lovely, and quite a change from Econo Lodge. After a pancake breakfast, we began our longest day in the car since our first day out. The Colorado Rockies offered stunning scenery and views of wildlife. We are currently tucked into our rooms in St George Utah and will be home tomorrow. Please be sure to check the blog once or twice more for our farewell posting!

  1. I know you are probably eager to get home but I hate seeing you travel further and further away from us! ;-(

  2. Isn't St. George a pretty town? Did you happen to visit Zion National Park--it's so gorgeous and just down the road. Nancy
