Shouldn't this kid be in school?

Jere posting: Our friend's eldest son began building his own house in the woods of one corner of the property four years ago when he was 14 years old! It is made almost entirely out of wood from this piece of land. There are 8"x8" posts and spans for the frame, with 16" cord wood walls. There is oak, pine and cedar throughout. It is amazing. He has to plan his wood supply one year ahead, because that is how long it takes to mill, cut, prep and cure it. There is wood curing in the house, the patio and the barn. He has been homeschooled and trained with some very useful skills indeed. Although the house is not finished, he has recently moved into it and had a house warming party. This young man has worked to pay for all of this himself, buying what he can with what he earns.
