Half Way Today

Jere posting: Today we have travelled about half way across the country - bedded down for the night in Chandler OK. It has been all about making miles so far, but tomorrow we have our first fun stop. We are going to visit friends on their farm in Arkansas. The wind continued unabated today. You can see the kids leaning into it in the photo. We also stopped at (what used to be) the largest cross in the Northern Hemisphere. It is is the centerpiece of a very interesting exhibit of Christ's passion located in the Texas panhandle. There are life sized bronze depictions of the last supper, calvary, the stations of the cross and a few other scenes, as well as an empty tomb you can go into. As we have travelled east in the past, we have noticed more prevelant witness for Christ than we see in S. California. This trip is not different. We even saw the "Jesus Christ is Lord Travel Plaza." We are grateful for the prayers and well wishes from so many of you. Thank you for sharing this adventure with us!
